Regency Extended Care Center
is a 315 bed facility in Yonkers offering modern, compassionate care and rehabilitation
to people who are elderly, convalescent, handicapped, or chronically ill.

Residents
gather in one of the large, enclosed sun porches overlooking the Hudson
River for recreation, to socialize, and for movement to music.

A 24-hour a day professional nursing staff
provides skilled, considerate care. Our team approach, including physicians, nurses, therapists and
social workers, ensures guests support and supervision. For shorter stays, some specialized services Regency offers are:
· Rehabilitation
· Intravenous therapy for hydration
· Intravenous therapy for antibiotics
· Wound care
· Total parental nutrition
At Regency, we
care about the individual. You
can see the personal attention at an arts and crafts class where new "artists"
are born. Or in a visit to the on-site beauty salon or barber shop where each guest is
warmly greeted and gently pampered. It's apparent in our friendly staff. It's there in the
newly decorated, air-conditioned private and semi-private rooms - featuring comfortable
bedroom furniture, large color TV's, phones and other amenities.

The beloved house cat "Meow" pays a visit
for some petting and perhaps a bit of conversation. Animal friendships are
important to healing and Meow does her part with affection.
Our guests look forward to
mealtimes. Who wouldn't when the dining room is spacious and cheerfully decorated. And the
food is tempting and nourishing. Just as important, it's a good time to catch up on
friendships.
Each specially prescribed diet is
carefully supervised by our qualified dieticians.

 Our rehabilitation room
provides state -of-the-art treatment including occupational therapy, whirlpool therapy and
pain management equipment. Our unique simulated bedroom, bathroom and kitchen help
reacquaint our rehab patients with a home environment, often resulting in shorter stays.
For those who choose, Regency has a special housing unit with rooms for
rehab patients only. A dedicated team of physicians and therapists strive to make rehab
guests feel confident and able to return to the rigors of daily life.
