Regency Extended Care Center is a 315 bed facility in Yonkers offering modern, compassionate care and rehabilitation to people who are elderly, convalescent, handicapped, or chronically ill.

A 24-hour a day professional nursing staff provides skilled, considerate care. Our team approach, including physicians, nurses, therapists and social workers, ensures guests support and supervision. For shorter stays, some specialized services Regency offers are:

At Regency, we care about the individual. You can see the personal attention at an arts and crafts class where new "artists" are born. Our rehabilitation room provides state -of-the-art treatment including occupational therapy, whirlpool therapy and pain management equipment. Our unique simulated bedroom, bathroom and kitchen help reacquaint our rehab patients with a home environment, often resulting in shorter stays. For those who choose, Regency has a special housing unit with rooms for rehab patients only. A dedicated team of physicians and therapists strive to make rehab guests feel confident and able to return to the rigors of daily life.

REGENCY has an 8 bed bariatric program where Registered Dietitian & MD prepare residents for gastric bypass surgery at local hospitals for both Medicare & Mediciad recipients. INFUSION THERAPY

Regency Extended Care Center offers a Comprehensive Intravenous Therapy Program.

This exceptional program enables Regency to meet the needs of residents with specialized requirements. The Intravenous Therapy Program is offered to short and long term residents.

Regency Extended Care Center offers Comprehensive Respiratory Services for residents who are ventilator dependent. Our facility utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach targeted at improving the medical, functioning and psychological status of residents being treated for chronic respiratory conditions.

HOSPICE CARE

Physical Pain can be an overwhelming concern for both the resident and their families. Regency Extended Care Center provides a special kind of care for terminally ill residents and their families. An individualized plan of care is developed jointly by the Hospice team and Regency staff, taking into consideration the wishes of the resident and family.

SHORT STAY REHABILITATION SERVICES

Regency Extended Care Center provides Specialized Rehabilitation Services for individuals planning to return to community living.

The Rehabilitation Department Is:

The Multidisciplinary Team is understanding of the importance of working closely with the resident and family. The team meets weekly during the course of treatment, to address vital issues in preparation and planning for the resident’s discharge.
